From business logos to comic books, my illustrations tell a story, usually with bright colours and lots of expression. I use mainly Prismacolor markers and Adobe Photoshop in creating and colouring my artwork, but I also use watercolours, water-soluble and coloured pencils, gouache, and oils. I really enjoy using my Macintosh for everything from creating to self-promotion mailouts. I'm a self-taught artist, with a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Calgary. I love working with children, and I do both contract and volunteer teaching. My "Introduction to Cartooning" class full of eager 9-13 year-olds is one of the highlights of my week. Several times a year I travel to anthropomorphic conventions to exhibit my artwork, and I was Guest of Honor in 2002 at Conifur Northwest . I love deadlines, happy clients, cats, and a neat desk. I've done educational illustrations, website graphics, character designs, comics, rubber stamps, company logos and countless personal commissions. I live in Calgary, the Heart of the New West, with my husband Michael, who's an actor/writer/web designer, and our son Peter. I love travelling, urban adventuring, reading, and movies.
