Marci McAdam was born in 1971 on a dark and stormy night in a small town in Canada. She grew up imagining an audience of children reading her books. Pictures always accompanied her stories.

From business logos to comic books, her illustrations tell a story. She uses a variety of mediums: Prismacolor art markers, watercolours, acrylic, coloured pencil, and Photoshop on her Mac.

Marci is a self-taught artist, with a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Calgary. Several times a year she travels to anthropomorphic conventions to exhibits her artwork; she was Guest of Honor in 2002 at Conifur Northwest in Seattle and will be Guest of Honor in 2012 at Furnal Equinox in Toronto. Her work has appeared in books, educational publications, comics, logos and in private collections internationally.

She lives in Calgary with her sons and her Very Best Friend.
